A BIT ABOUT US

Here at Pocket Full of Poseys, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2013, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: support, empowerment, and progress. Our Board of Directors is comprised of a diverse group of professionals focused on improving the communities around them.

DeVier Posey is a very passionate individual. As the Founder and President of Pocket Full of Poseys, he uses his dedication towards living a healthy lifestyle to impact others. It was instilled in him at an early age how vital it is to fuel one’s body with the proper nutrition and this information has allowed him to earn a career as both an NFL and CFL Professional Wide Receiver. DeVier graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Analysis and Practice. He hails from Cincinnati, Ohio and was a 4.0 graduate of LaSalle High School. Throughout his life he has earned many honors such as Parade All American, Army All American, NAAAA Watkins Award recipient and Watkins Man of the Year, and CFL 105th Grey Cup Championship MVP. He was also inducted into LaSalle High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018. DeVier is the proud husband of Kierra and father of Drue, Nile, and Rhys.

After DeVier suffered from a life-threatening condition as a child, his mother refocused her efforts into nutrition. She began to conduct research on various ways to improve his health and quickly introduced healthy eating into her home. DeVier recognized the results of his mother’s efforts and the impact that it had on his life. He brainstormed and decided the start a foundation to educate children and their families on health and wellness.

DeVier is excited to work with families around the country while providing knowledge on the importance of an active lifestyle and proper nutrition. DeVier has spent much of his life giving back to others and continues to make this his mission today. He understands how important it is to pay it forward and the significance that non-profit organizations have in the community.
